Team Meeting - Thursday 22 September

Today we all worked together on different challenges with two robots. We had something on the white board that everyone followed, so we each got a turn with the robot at least once. We need to use the marks in base to have accurate line ups.

We told Carol what we had learnt today. Here are some things we learnt:
  • Ethan - I worked on turning but it didn’t get it right, so next time I will ask for help.
  • Jake - To get two rats into base to get more points, to get to the green bacteria and back.
  • Oliver - To knock the balls off there place, to do the yellow ball get rid of the harvester and farm truck first.
  • Jack - To get the corn from the harvester.
  • Jasmine - I learnt how to follow a line not using the follow the line program.
  • Alice - Help Jack with the harvester by making the attachments.
  • Caitlyn - To follow a line not using the program, nearly got to the fish.
  • Freddie - Carol was really impressed with the wonderful way Freddie helped lots of others make progress today. A great example of the FLL spirit.

Homework this week is to think about the food safety issues we saw at the supermarket, and pick just one of these issues that also occurs in our own home. Use your notes from the trip to look back over the issues.

Discuss with mum and dad an innovative idea you have of something we could create to solve this issue in people's homes. It might be something on the edge of our imagination, or something more simple but still new.

Email Carol before Wednesday morning with your idea. We will put all the ideas 'in the pot' and discuss them at our next meeting on Wednesday.
