Wednesday
We couldn't use the meeting room so sat in the sun on the verandah and looked at everyone's innovative ideas for our project. We talked and voted, and ended up with two main ideas to look at - Annabelle's idea for warning thermometers on chickens, and Jack's idea to scan and check for clean hands. See the two ideas listed at the bottom of this post. (By Carol).
Thursday
In our meeting we started to get on our project for FLL. Annabelle , Catilyn and I went on AnyQuestions and we talked with real libraran through chat. In the other room Jack made the robot pick up every peace of corn from the havester. Freddie and Oliver made a great job of making a program.

Annabelle's idea:
An idea I’m thinking of is about chicken. When the chicken has arrived at the supermarket it should be cold enough and stay at a cool temperature when it comes from the factory to the time it goes on the shelf. This is to stop the bacteria from multiplying.
When it arrives at your house it may not be as cold as it was when you left the supermarket because it hasn’t been kept cold enough when it was being transferred. We could check this by having a special thermometer that checks the temperature when it arrives at the supermarket and at home. Maybe the chicken could come with a removable thermometer that always displays it’s temperature. The thermometer needs to let people know what the right/safe temperature is. Maybe it can give you a warning when it is out of the safe range.
Jack's idea:
I think not washing your hands is a main problem in my house and I think maybe a sensor unit set up by the door handles, in toilet areas and kitchen. When you come close to it if you havent washed your hands it will beep and a light will flash to remind you and there are hand sanitisers on it so you can wash your hands.
